How We Work

Terms of Engagement

Al Hattab operates on a foundation of mutual respect, clear communication, and shared commitment to the highest standard of work. The following terms govern how we engage with our clients.

Consultation Every engagement begins with a private consultation at no cost and no obligation. This conversation allows us to understand your vision, assess the scope of work, and determine whether we are the right fit for your project. Not every enquiry becomes a commission — and we believe that honesty serves both parties better than a hasty agreement.

Proposals & Agreements Following consultation, we provide a detailed written proposal outlining scope, materials, timeline, and investment. No work begins until both parties have agreed to terms in writing. We do not operate on verbal commitments, and we expect the same in return.

Materials & Craftsmanship All materials are sourced and specified in advance, with full transparency. Substitutions are never made without prior written approval. Our craftsmen work to exacting standards — if something does not meet ours, it will not be presented as meeting yours.

Timeline & Access We provide realistic timelines and honour them. In return, we require agreed access to the residence and timely decisions on approvals and selections. Delays caused by access restrictions or outstanding approvals may affect the project schedule.

Payment Payment terms are outlined in each project agreement. A deposit is required before work commences, with staged payments aligned to project milestones. Final payment is due upon completion and client sign-off.

Confidentiality Every project is subject to our Confidentiality Commitment. Client names, addresses, project details, and interior photographs are never disclosed without explicit written consent.

Warranty We stand behind our work. Structural and finishing defects are covered under warranty, the terms of which are specified in each project agreement. We encourage clients to inspect completed work thoroughly before final sign-off — and we remain available after handover.

Disputes In the unlikely event of a disagreement, we believe in resolution through direct conversation before any formal process. Our preference is always to solve, not to escalate.
